Therefore it is technically not legal, but being able to apply the law in the circumstances cited would be quite difficult at best. There is a presumption of the law that parents can infringe on the privacy rights of their minor children to maintain discipline and insure said minors safety and well-being. However, an argument can most definitely be be made concerning the moral and ethical issue of invading another persons right to privacy regardless of the age of that person.
