Getting Married on Valentine's
Yes because the flower costs go up near Valentine's Day by as much as 35% depending on the florist selling them. For florists this is the best money-maker during the whole year.
If it means a lot to you to get married on Valentine's Day then stay away from roses! There are so many other beautiful types of flowers that you could choose from. Red tulips, red tropical flowers (if you want to stick to the romance of red) and although the prices are slightly up on these it won't be as costly as having roses.
Something that is quite beautiful if you want to stick to roses is either carry one single large red rose (sometimes this can be put across a white Bible if you are religious) or otherwise just one large rose with bow on it held just in front of you (near your heart). Your Maid of Honor and Bridesmaids could have red tulips or red carnations in their bouquets.
