Don't worry unless there is bright red blood. The pinkish version is very common in the first trimester, even cramping. Just in case, though, keep pointing this out to your doctor and don't overexert yourself physically until you have reached the second trimester.

If it is just a pink-tinted discharge, it is most likely not a miscarriage, especially if your doctor says everything is fine. Don't stress over it unless you have a sudden and PAINFUL bout of cramping and/or lower Back pain and heavy bright red bleeding. The bleeding may be accompanied by clots, small or larger depending on how far along you are. During pregnancy your cervix and vagina are more engorged and filled with blood. If you recently had sex and then had the pink discharge, this is absolutely normal. Any abrasion to the cervix could cause a pink discharge. Just try to take it easy and monitor your stress level and make sure you take your prenatal vitamins. Keep your doctor posted if there are any changes.

I can only speak from my experience here. At about 3 months pregnant with my first child I found 3 drops of bright red blood on my panties and I left work immediately and went to the emergency room. There was nothing wrong and now my baby is a healthy 9 year old boy. Always take bleeding seriously in pregnancy but if the doctor says your baby is fine then just have hope and faith he is because stress is an awful thing for mommies-to-be to carry around.

any kind of spotting is very common up until 12 weeks. some people experience spotting right through their pregnancy. unless you experience any stomach cramps don't worry. get yourself checked out with your midwife if you are at all worried.

Is there any way a woman could be pregnant 10 and a half to 11 months prior to delivery?

No. 37-42 weeks is the normal frame. About 44 weeks (10 months) is the longest verified pregnancy as the placenta starts to deteriorate after 42 weeks.

What would spotting pinkish brownish discharge a few days off and on before your period mean?

Brown vaginal discharge can also be a symptom of some serious medical conditions.AnswerYou have some spotting when you ovulate and before and after your period. This is pretty normal. This pinkish/brownish color is blood and there is so little that it just tints your discharge. Spotting is very normal for both of those times during the cycle. Also it could be implantation bleeding where the egg implants into the uterus, that is if you are sexually active and have not been using protection. It could be Implantation bleeding sign of pregnancy or just a problem which is nothing to do with pregnancy. Go and see a doctor.Spotting before periods in women over 30 can also indicate the beginning of perimenopause. When spotting appears 2-3 days before the periods are due, it can indicate that the corpus luteum is breaking down too early causing the luteal phase to be shorter than normal. Perimenopause spotting is cause by sudden drop in estrogen levels and low progesterone production due to anovulatory cycles. If a woman is trying to get pregnant and her luteal phase is shorter that 10-12 days she may suffer an early miscarriage. Other possible causes can be cervical dysplasia, endometriosis, fibroids, polyps, UTI, yeast infection, STDs, etc.If a woman has a IUD, this can also be the cause.Making a doctor's appointment to discuss this situation is a very good idea in order to get proper diagnosis and treatment.

How do you know your having implantation bleeding?

It usually occurs about 7-10 days before the time for your period. It's usually light - sometimes just a dot. For me it was actually a pinkish orange color, for some it's brown. I thought I was getting my period early, but the odd color made me wonder, and then it stopped in a couple of days. I had been pregnant before, and had implantation spotting AFTER my period was due. It wasn't a viable pregnancy and failed about 2 weeks later.

You have been on the pill 10 years came off it a week ago and now spotting is this normal?

It may take three to four months for your body to find its rhythm. So, spotting, irregular periods and such are part and parcel of that. Be sure to visit your doctor for excessive bleeding if that happens. Be patient.
