It can be normal. It's sometimes quite a surgery. If you are having any concerns, call you doctor. If it isn't getting better at all or starts to get worse, call your doctor. But some achiness and pain is sometimes normal for some people. Sounds like alot of work was done to get your teeth out. Keep using heat, take some pain meds, and keep in touch with your dentist. Normally 7-10 days is recovery period, but you might have been a very difficult extraction.

It is unusual to have pain two weeks after having the wisdom teeth removed, but not unheard of. Here are some reasons this could occur; # In the process of removing the tooth, there may have been some bone parts/pieces that remain post surgery and are trying to work their way out of the gum. # After the removal, you may have inadvertently sucked on a straw or a cigarette or did something that would cause suction, that caused the clot to dislodge from the wound, and have developed "dry socket" This is a condition in which the clot that was protecting your wound was dislodged and allowed the bone where the tooth was, to become exposed to food or water. This is excruciating and needs the intervention of a doctor/dentist to alleviate. It would be best to consult with your dentist before it gets any worse. An infection at the site could arise.

Yes it is. Because your jaw is open very wide during the procedure it becomes difficult to be able to open your mouth very wide at all for a period after the surgery itself.

If the jaw or muscles are still hurting after two or three weeks, see your dentist or oral surgeon.

yes. the swelling preventing your mouth to open is the first sign of healing and the inability to open your mouth is because of the location your wisdom tooth was removed. you will gradually return to normal signaling the ending of the healing process.

It may be painful and stiff to open your mouth, but you should be able to open it, even slightly.
