Is it possible for a college student with no previous credit to acquire a regular nonsecured credit card?

Answer

It's almost too easy. Many credit card companies woo college students, many of whom need quick money but haven't yet learned to manage it. You can probably get a card with a reasonable rate, but be sure you know how to manage your credit. With rare exception, you should be able to pay off whatever you charge at the end of each month.
