It depends on the woman's cycles, but generally yes. If a woman has her period once a month, and she isn't using any chemical form of birth control, then she is probably ovulating each month as well (a woman can only get pregnant when she ovulates...this means that an egg is ready and released into her body where it might encounter sperm from the male). This is not the case for all women, 100% of the time, but is what you should count on unless a doctor has tested you and told you otherwise.
Once a woman IS pregnant, of course, it is no longer possible for her to get pregnant again. This is because powerful hormones cause women to stop ovulating when they are carrying a baby inside of them.....and without ovulation, it's impossible to get pregnant.
