Yes, it's possible to love two people at the same time (at least I think so), however, it will cause an emotional roller coaster that will ONLY cause stress, and drama for the relationships whether it's a friend-based relationship or current dating relationship. In the case of divided loyalties either one wins out or they all lose out. Even in ancient and modern societies where polygamy was/is practiced there typically was/is a #1 wife who was/is the favorite with others being "lesser loved". I theory all of the wives might be loved, but in reality it is doubtful they are equally loved.
So, if you are married and allow yourself to be emotionally attracted to another women; you have already emotionally cheated and yea, it will cause an emotional roller coaster for everyone involved.
Spouses also notice subtle changes in their husbands. The way they are spoken to, treated, neglected, blamed for the problems, etc. Why, because someone else is getting the best of their husbands, they are not and they know it. They are also far from stupid.
Hindsight, no it is not possible to love two people at the same time.
