The solicitation, which requests that consumers return a "claim form" along with $5, offers to sell a report that lists national sweepstakes operated by other, third-party, companies and the prizes to be awarded in those sweepstakes. The offer is not clear and conspicuous.
As of August 29, 2008, Emerson Publishing agreed to discontinue some advertisements, but refused to fully cooperate with the BBB by modifying all of its advertisements to adhere to the BBB Code of Advertising.

I don't know, but I also got a letter claiming that a Mr. John McNabb was contacting me to let me know that I was entered into a sweepstakes and that I needed to have a "premium" payment of $11.89 needed to be sent so that I could be the recipient of $2,000,000.00. And the letter was signed...William MacDougal, Compliance Examiner! This letter was written very slyly. I feel it is a scam. Thought I would answer you so you could see someone else received one. Sincerely, Ann
No, Jon Bencher does not work for readers digest. It is part of a sweepstakes fraud. I found out because i received a letter from readers digest from Jon bencher saying i won a lot of money. The letter seemed fishy so i called readers digest. And it was a falsified sweepstakes win. i called the better business bureau to inform them as well as letting readers digest know what happened
A dispute letter to credit bureaus is written by an individual to the credit bureau over the some issue related to credit standing. The individual would need to be clear in his letter of dispute against that of the credit bureau, providing evidence where possible to proof the error on the part of the credit bureau.
The word is bureau.
You will receive a second notice after 5 days and then the letter is returned to sender 15 days from the date it was received at the post office and is marked unclaimed.
It was a sweepstakes, the ghosts sent him a letter that said he won a mansion, problem was, he never entered a contest. It was a trick.
Yes, they are scamming you.
