Yes it is safe. My younger brother has ADHD and Asperger's Sydrome and he takes Concerta and Risperdal every morning. I would still recommend asking your doctor if it is safe for HER to use, as medications have different effects on different people. I know this sounds like a Scientologist. But my neighbor's mom told his psychitrist to prescribe him something because she thought he had a problem. He just wrote a ticket for Resperidal without and hesitation. I am glad he didn't take it, it is schizophrenic medication. I am sure what ever your daughter has is much, much better than any single side effect from Risperdal. Please don't let her take it, you will lose your daughter.
Risperdal is an antipsychotic medication. It works by changing the effects of chemicals in the brain. Risperdal is used to treat schizophrenia and symptoms of bipolar disorder (manic depression). Risperdal is also used in autistic children to treat symptoms of irritability. Risperdal may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide. http://www.drugs.com/risperdal.html
Autism Spectrum Disorder is a neurological condition, autistic people are born autistic - we do not know why people are autistic.

There's no such thing as a 'minor case of autism', you're either Autistic or you're not. If you are Autistic it is more likely that your children will be Autistic too as it is genetic.
no because they are Just normal people with Just a brain disorder
Autism is considered to be a disorder - thus why it's called Autism Spectrum Disorder. Autism is certainly not a personality, all Autistic people have vastly different personalities.
Children who seem normal at first but who begin to show autistic behavior as they get older might be diagnosed with "childhood disintegrative disorder"
Risperdal (risperidone) was FDA approved to treat psychotic conditions, such as schizophrenia. Moderate doses are now being used by physicians/psychiatrists to treat bipolar disorder (sometimes along with other medications, as well).
