Purgatives, the type of laxatives (herbal or otherwise) that cause the muscles of the bowel to greater action, are not safe during pregnancy because they may stimulate the uterus as well. When it comes to regularity during pregnancy, you are far safer sticking to your healthy foods that include soluble and insoluble fibre and drinking plenty of water. Also moderate exercise is good too, but consult your physician on how much is safe for you and your pregnancy.
This is iffy -- some people say peppermint and other menthols can produce spina bifida, some say it can't. Some doctors say it's okay, others don't. I didn't risk it, even though I love peppermint tea, and I just stuck to floral/fruit teas and ones like ginger -- ginger is always okay.
Some herbal teas also contain herbs that may cause problems with the pregnancy or even a miscarriage. Avoid pennyroyal, licorice, mandrake, Lady's Mantle, passion flower, etc. There's a whole list here: http://www.pregnancytoday.com/articles/medications-and-herbs/herbs-to-avoid-during-pregnancy-2293/
No No No! Laxatives pass through the placenta and can be harmful!!
Your best bet (if you're constipated) is to drink a fiber drink like fibersure or metamucill or drink lots of water. You can even take a stool softener like Senekot if you are really bound up.
Avoid enemas too. To whoever wrote that, Senekot is NOT a stool softener. It's a very powerful stimulant laxative. Do not take it while pregnant. Stool softeners include colace, Fibercon and other bulk forming fiber meds.
Of course it is, as long as you don't have alcohol, raw meat, drugs or hormones with it :)
I wouldn't drink those teas which are specially advertised to make you lose weight either, I don't know if they are dangerous but just in case don't.
Any tea that has no laxitive or herbal tea is safe for pregnancy. Also, its best to avoid caffine. For Morning Sickness and any sort of sore throat/cold decaf lemon tea with some honey squirted in really helps!
It's said that you should avoid such stimulants as caffeine while pregnant. However saying that, I never drank tea until i was! Moderation is what I would suggest or decaf, it tastes exactly the same without the potentially harmful caffeine content. I hope this helps :)
laxative is used to cleanse u r digestive system. Ovulation is the reproductive system two separate organs functioning their own work do not get confused
enjoy ovulation and be healthy would be mother
Depends. I doubt any of them are tested on pregnant women. When in doubt stay away from it and ask your doctor.
No, It has caffeine which does not mix well. Make sure you use a caffeine less tea such as roibos or herbal blends
no its decaf i would think not All teas, even the decaffeinated once have small traces of caffeine. IF you want a truly caffiene free tea you will have to drink herbal teas.
it is good for dogs to drink water like tap water or fresh water are good, they can drink chicken broth, if you give your dog tea, give him herbal tea without caffeine, and unsweetened green tea is great i have tried it on my dog so it should work for yours! hope i could help.
Caffeine also comes in tablet and capsule forms and can be bought without a prescription.
NO!The high amount of caffeine is NOT good for the baby. The most caffeine a pregnant woman should consume is about 200 mg per day, which is about one 12 oz cup of coffee.
No. I have migraine which means I can't have caffeine at all, but I can drink baileys without getting any headaches.
yes it is true that the energy drink have caffeine in it. The quantity of caffeine is vary from brand to brand and drink to drink.
If you're talking about the energy drink, no. It's full of caffeine and right on the label it says no for people sensitive to caffeine, pregnant women and children. But it is so good!
MINIMAL amounts. Caffeine is something that should be avoided as much as possible because caffeine restricts your blood vessels and also restricts the amount of blood flow to the placenta which in turn restricts the amount of blood flow to your baby. Try to start drinking decaffeinated soda's, decaf coffee and avoid drinking tea.
You should not drink any teas that contain caffeine. In addition, pregnant women should not consume raw honey. So if you drink tea without those 2 things then yes, it is absolutely fine.
Dr. Pepper has one of the highest caffeine percentages in soft drinks on the market and it is advised that you don't have caffeine while pregnant. I would think to drink one every so often wouldn't hurt, but daily no.
Yes, herbal teas such as Throat Cote and Celestial Seasonings are fine. Drinking herbal teas when sick and avoiding caffeine is a good idea also, because caffeine stresses your body. Remember to take all the amoxicillin even after you start feeling better. You want to kill all the bacteria and not leave any hiding in your body!
