No, do not take these together. Both of these have an ingredient which causes sleepiness. If you check the label --- you will see that it is the same drug (diphenhydramine). You would be taking a double dose of this, which could cause trouble breathing or trouble waking up in the morning. If you are over 60, you could run a risk of falling from taking a double dose.

∙ 9y agoNo - they both have the same medication in them (diphenhydramine) that makes you very drowsy and can affect your breathing if you take too much - they also both have pain relievers, which can damage your liver and kidneys if you take too much.

That's not good. That would be two antihistamines and a respiratory suppressant. The active ingredient in unisom is an antihistamine...it makes you sleepy as a side effect. That's too many sleep agents.
