AnswerThere are certain paints that you can use! Your local paint stores should be aware of which ones you can and can't use. I do know that there are very few that are safe but they are out there!!! Home Depot sells "Behr" paint. You can use that! AnswerYou will want to ask for a paint that has low VOCs. These are the toxic chemicals contained in paints and other household products that can "offgas" into the air- they are essentially toxic fumes. Be sure to use a water based (latex) paint with low VOCs, and supply as much fresh air as possible to the area being painted. Consult your physician before painting during pregnancy. It only takes a phone call!No it isn't healthy for you or the baby. At all There are special waterbased paints you can use. It is the fumy oil-based ones you should not use. get someone else to paint the window frames and baseboards.
Can you, yes. Should you? That depends on what you are wearing. Your nail plate will absorb the solvents used to make it fluid as well as it evaporating (hence the smell, if it's conventional nitrocellulose). If you have concerns about the brands you are using, research them through the cosmetics database for their safety rating. See link below.
It's true - you don't have to stop being beautiful/glamorous when you are pregnant. In fact, when I was pregnant with my second son (2-1/2 years ago) that was the only time my finger nails and toe nails looked so good!!
enjoy.
Yes. The oils used in oil paint are natural and will not hurt you or your child. The only concern that I would have is the cleaning of your brushes. Have your husband soak and clean your brushes if you use turpentine or turpenoid.
Yes as long as you are in a well ventilated area and aren't doing any heavy lifting or climbing.
It is up to you. There are no studies available to say that it is or is not harmful.
It is a bad idea. You are not supposed to breath any paint fumes. Whether you are pregnant or not. It is worse to do so when you are pregnant.
Mother's Touch nursery paint is the most risk-free latex paint available and is completely safe for babies and mothers.

Yes so paint the nursery before the baby comes home.
Latex is not as dangerous as oil based, but to be on the safe side you should work in a well ventilated area and ask your Doctor.

If you are painting on canvas using oil or acrylic it's ok. If you are painting a room or furniture with a paint that has an odor you are risking a miscarriage. The fumes from the paint aren't good for you to breathe while pregnant.
You can only get to the nursery when your cat becomes pregnant and has kittens. I am pretty sure you can't get there any other way. Hope this helps!
