That is not always true. Acrylic paint is not made for skin. Some people have Allergies to it, and some pigments contain toxic substances e.g. cadmiums, manganese, lead...
Your best bet is to go with paints designed specifically for use on skin.

∙ 15y agowe are led to believe acrylic paint is not toxic.Fact is,additives are used to hide smell of the chemicals contained in it.If you follow basic safety procedure,should be safe.Wear breathing mask and ventilate area of work.
