No. It won't be weird at all. In my recent experience, some "friends of friends" were at my home to visit. They stole whatever they could put in their pockets, and finally one idiot took my car keys off the hook by the door and stole my car. It is nearly impossible to prove to the police that the car was 'stolen' when I allowed these people into my home. So, in my opinion, sitting alone is the best remedy for all of this crap.
