It's very likely that he is connected with freemasons or another secret society (there are thousands we don't even have names for) connected with the Illuminati. The reason I say that is because if you had a list of the famous people connected with his church (now or in the past) you basically get a line up of Illuminati puppets that are high ranking in African-American culture.
