Is leap year a holiday? |
[Edit] |
Every leap year, this poem shall be recited, people shall disarm, a Great Truce will fall upon all of the land, and no blood shall be spilled by arm or hand of man. And if you should need to see the color red, you should use red wine instead.
The Great Truce
On extra day of year of four,
The people shall recite this score.
And neither by man's arm or hand,
Shall blood be spilled upon the land.
This blood of yours which flows through me,
Flows also through my enemy.
Today I call the Greatest Truce,
And share with him your finest juice.
Today, to god, I wish to say,
Your blood I will not spill away.
If you so love the color red,
I'll pour for you this wine instead.
I cast my blade into the sea,
And free myself of misery.
So it may harm no one no more,
I give it to the salt sea floor.
I'll never again use a blade,
For ritual of blood parade.
The rites of ancient time are through,
I will spill no more blood for you.
