If you're referring to LimeWire, the file sharing software, ANY file sharing application can be dangerous in and of itself, because of the way it allows PCs to communicate with each other. The unfortunate fact of the matter is that you can't trust absolutely everyone with an internet connection - including persons with whom you share files. Personally speaking, I don't believe that ANY file sharing apps are safe, and a LOT of them come with all sorts of spyware and malware built in, making it an even bigger gamble. I certainly wouldn't install it on any of my systems, and most IT administrators forbid installation on business systems.
