Mental and Physical health are linked and interact with each other in many ways. One way is how the body senses pain. Physically there is a cut on ones skin. Mentally that cut can hurt, cause pain and disgust someone. Mentally someone could want to be pregnant, if they think on it too much their body physically can change to make its self look pregnant.
Yes, they are connected. A lot of things that are wrong with people, especially when the sickness are all in their head- much like when medicines are fake but make people thing they feel better after intaking it, which is all based from quantum physics. I won't explain that in detail- it is very complicated.
In short, your mind makes things worse like babies. When they trip and the parents caught them before they landed, they will start crying because they think that it will hurt. Another example is when I give you a semi-hot plate, I'll say, "Be careful, it is extremely hot!" even if it was not that hot, you would feel it as being more hot then it is.
So yes, they are connected, but nerves are a part of it, it is not ALL in your head.

Record of mental health are completely confidential, and can only be released to the hospital if something happens to you like a heart attack perhaps, the doctors need to know your mental health problems as well as physical health to care for you. Other then that, they should NOT be released to the public.
