No, narcotics are essentially opium. Sooo, you got your HEROIN, your MORPHINE, your opium, and your oxycodone... oxycontin, same thing.

Meth is a stimulant. It boosts your heart rate and plays with your reward system, dopamine and euphoria, which is what we use to live out our lives. (That 'ahh' feeling when you eat after a long day of fasting)

So in other words, methamphetamine is stimulant: Highly addictive, boosts your heart rate to explosion levels.

Heroin is a narcotic: Highly addictive, and slows your heart rate enough to put you to sleep.
