Not really. Although young girls are the main target demographic for My Little Pony, the latest TV series has aquired a fairly large following of young men and teenage boys. Some groups allowed to sell licensed merchandise from Hasbro have responded to this by selling items such as T-shirts and wallets for adults.
As with many Children's TV Shows, the writers occasionally throw in small jokes and references that young children would miss but would be appreciated by adults watching the show.
