The 7 continents listed above are almost universally recognized as "the continents." In some contexts it makes sense to group the landmasses differently, so other definitions, while unusual, can be made but since they are out of the norm, any different way of classification than the 7-continent group above would have to be accompanied by an explanation of how the term "continent" was being used.
