Everything. They're not even approximately related.
Hydrocodone is a drug molecule which resembles codeine in its structure.
Hydrochloride is HCl. It's a little complicated to explain if you're not a chemist, but many pharmaceutically active compounds are oily liquids in their native state. This is inconvenient for things like making pills, but there's a solution: convert them to the hydrochloride salt, which is usually a crystalline solid.
Oxycodone is a narcotic. It is derived from thebaine, an alkaloid of opium. There is no non-narcotic preparation that contains oxycodone. Perocet is a medicine that contains both oxycodone and acetaminophen (Tylenol). So there are meds that are joined with oxycodone that are non-narcotic. But anything that has oxycodone in it is a narcotic.
Oxycodone HCL or Oxycontin (oxycodone hydrochloride controlled-release) Tablets are an opioid analgesic supplied in 10 mg, 15 mg, 20 mg, 30 mg, 40 mg, 60 mg, 80 mg, and 160 mg tablet strengths for oral administration. Hydrocodone Acetaminophen or Vicodin is an opioid analgesic supplied in 5/500 and other strengths. Now for the differences
Oxycodone HCL
Hydrocodone Acetaminophen (vicodin)
These are all the diffs I can think of right now.
Oxycodone and oxycodone HCl are the same drug. HCl, or hydrochloride, is used to balance the charge on the oxycodone molecule.
It's only one quarter the size of a percocet 5-325 tablet. Easy to drop on the floor and get lost in the carpet fiber. It's tiny, almost round, has a fancy letter V on one side, the numbers '48' and '10' on the other side - divided by a indented cutting line. White in color with a shell finish.
Percocet and oxycodone are synthetic opiods, and both have the same active narcotic oxycodone. Percocet is oxycodone 10mg and acetominaphen 325mg. Oxyxodone HCI is 30mg Oxycodoe and basically a salt additive. They do not metabolise into morphine which is what they test for in a standard 5 panel opiate drug test. They would have to order an extended opiate panel to test for synthetic opiates such as oxycodone and hydrocodone.
no it is not a narcotic
The Oxycodone 30 IR have approximately 28.936 MG of Oxycodone. The Percocet 10/325 have apporximately 8.6 MG of Oxycodone. So yes, the 30MG Oxy IR are way more stronger. Plus the Acetaminophen in Percocet really lowers the dosage of the 8.6MG you're already getting. hcl means it is straight oxycodone with nothing else like tylonal added. apap means it has tylonal in the mix and also 30mgs is 3 times stronger than 10mgs i think you know that LOL. Oxycodone hcl 30 mg, is an immediate release pain reliever, primarily designed for treatment of chronic pain, usually prescribed as a supplement to extended release pain relievers. The hcl is an abbreviation for hydrochloride which is the medium of suspension of the oxycodone. Oxycodone apap 10-325 is a mixture of oxycodone hcl and what the apap stands for acetiminophen. If you have chronic pain and require a high dose of a narcotic pain reliever you will generally not be prescribed this kind of medication since overtime the acetiminophen can reak havoc on your liver. This is however, a nice version of the the oxycodone apap mixture since it is the lowest dose of apap you can get in an oxycodone pill.
This is what your test will show.Oxycodone,Hydrocodone, and Alprazolam or Benzodiazapine. The soma wont show up as anything. It is not a narcotic.
It is actually called oxycodone, and it is a narcotic analgesic in the opiate family
Percocet is a combination of a narcotic, oxycodone, and a nonnarcotic, acetominophen, which is commonly known as Tylenol. If you are asking which one has more narcotic, they are the same. The 10 refers to the amount of oxycodone; the 325/625 is the amount of acetominophen.
The trademark name for the narcotic analgesic is spelled OxyContin. It is a time release form of the drug oxycodone.
Acetaminophen Oxycodone HCl---Narcotic analgesic. This is a Class II drug on the scale meaning a very high risk of addiction.
Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is a non-narcotic med for pain and fever; hydrocodone is a narcotic opiate-type analgesic.
Yes, Lortab is a narcotic analgesic.
No, they are not. They both contain a narcotic analgesic combined with the nonnarcotic analgesic acetaminophen (Tylenol). Lortab contain hydrocodone and acetaminophen and Tylenol #3 contain codeine and acetaminophen. A drug test would screen for both codeine and hydrocodone.
Narcotic oxycodone and non- narcotic acetaminophen.
Percocet (a trade name of Endo Pharmaceuticals for a narcotic pain killer containing oxycodone and acetaminophe) is an analgesic, the ES refers to the Extra Strength formulation.
Tylenol 3 contains Tylenol and Codeine. Codeine is a less powerful but still addictive narcotic. Hydrocodone or Vicodin, contains Hydrocodone and Tylenol, Vicodin is a middle class narcotic analgesic and is also very addictive. Finally, Oxycodone is a breakthrough pain medication and is high on the list for its effects. Tylenol 3 is lower in strength compared to Hydrocodone and Oxycodone.
Is there any scienctic proof that non narcotic cough syrup help?
Oxycodone.
