it depends if the liquid has enzymes in it, if it does the pasta will eventually break down into carbs>starch>sucrose and dissolve. if enzymes aren't in the liquid then yes, you coul boil the living daylights out of them and they would be soft.
enzyms are found in stomach acid and human salyva- it breaks down food molecules into carbs>starch>energy/sugars. There would have to be A LOT of enzymes in the solution to break it down.
