It is not currently legal in the US, though some states have legalized it for medical use. It is legal in the Czech Republic, and I believe they have one of the lowest marijuana usage rates in the world. Contrary to popular belief, it is not legal in Amsterdam (Netherlands), it has been decriminalized to a certain extent and you can buy up to 5 grams without punishment.
