PS3 is 100% better than the PS2. If you have an internet connection you can can hook up your PS3 and join the Playstion Network and play your games online with friends. You can download your personal photos and videos. Also there is a level of customization to the PS3 that can make it your own. If more than one person is going to use it you can set more than one user. Also it plays blu ray discs. The main differce between a PS3 and a PS2 is the PS3 is an entertainment system. It does not only play games and dvds like the PS2 there are many different features that you can explore.

∙ 13y agoNo the PS3 is better, but the PS2 is much cheaper and they have over 3 times the number of games. Many of the PS2 games are available Used at a very low cost because of the number of people who switched to the PS3.
