This cannot be answered definitavely because it depends greatly on the area where you live, the abilities of the person teaching the children in the homeschool setting, what you feel is important for an education, the learning styles and needs of the children, if the parents/guardians stay involved in their children's education at public school, if the homeschooled students are given opportunity for interaction with their peers, etc. Either way, if you want to ensure good education for your children, stay involved and stay informed, and lead by example.
