Is seeing an owl in the day light a bad omen?
No in fact it could be viewed as a lucky omen, since most owls are nocturnal, and seeing one during the day is a rare event.

We have a family of barn owls that live on our property. They are mostly outside at night, but we see them during the day a few times every month. Whenever they hatch out a new nest, we will see them during the day quite often while the young are first starting to explore outside the nest. They will perch in the trees and come check us out. We have always thought it was pretty cool and have never had a negative incident follow their visits.
