The Shadow, the Lamont Cranston character of Radio fame- something like Batman is a shadowy super-hero who uses his powers of telepathy and invisibility to (Cloud men"s Minds) and ultimately fight crime. the Thirties version was more realistic in sometimes The Shadow did not get tot he scene of a crime fast enough to prevent it,(They got quite violent) but he would use his powers to help apprehend the thugs involved. the Shadow did not ordinarily kill suspects, but, they might fall off ladders or something while evading, something like that. basically Mr. Shadow was/Is a Good Guy of the pyschic-telepath type .

I had thought this was answered earlier, remember typing this in. The Shadow, real name Lamont Cranston, is a radio ( mainly) Superhero with telepathic and invisibility powers. ( to cloud mens" minds) He is a good guy character. Sometimes he would arrive on the crime scene too late to save the victim of the crime, this was thought of as being realistic in the thirties and forties. ( Superman would use his superpowers to prevent the actuation of the crime, save Lois or Jimmy in the process). Lamont Cranston appealed to a somewhat older audience. His female companion Margot Lane, may have been the inspiration for Lois Lane. She openly knew Mr. Cranston was the Shadow, unlike Lois Lane ( fifties-sixties period). Bang on. Shadow Lass is a female character - very attractively drawn, in the Legion of Super Heroes. That"s another story.
