It is unlikely that Sky will make disc recorders. The television industry is going to great lengths to prevent pirating of content. HD material is protected in various ways; commercial agreements with equipment manufacturers prevent them producing recorders that are capable of distributing content on disc or using other media.
Mini disc recorders can record up to 320 minutes.
A Bluray disc stores five times more data than a DVD. Therefore, a DVD will not have the capacity to store the contents of a Bluray disc.
No
Bluray
yes, but you wont get high definition quality
Digital Versatile Disc Recorders (DVD-r) has already replaced (Videocassette Recorders).
ps3 games are bluray disc
A blu ray disc is a storage medium, not an input/output device.
No. All current 3D disc content is HD and so use Bluray discs. You have to have a 3D Bluray player.
Bluray is the disc format developed by Sony for HD video content. It is not a television format and only refers to the storage medium. All Bluray disc players need a display and it may be plasma, LDC or LED based. It is therefore impossible to compare Bluray to types of TV.
There have been a number of combined VHS and DVD players as well as several VHS and DVD recorders. The combination was a convenient one for playing both formats from a single unit or for transferring VHS to a more robust and future-proof format. The market for combined VHS and Bluray players is far smaller. The customers who are now buying Bluray players are generally the same people who invested in DVD technology some years ago and have moved away from VHS already. VHS is of course a standard definition format. Recording it onto a Bluray disc will not enhance the quality and it certainly won't turn the VHS content into HD. For these reasons, it makes little commercial sense for a manufacturer to produce a VHS and Bluray combination. While it is impossible to predict what each manufacturer might do in the future, it is safe to say that a combination player is very unlikely.
Yes they are. They all play DVDs and Blu-Ray discs.Yes they do. They need to be connected to the HDTV with 1080P and a HDMI cable for the Bluray to work as a Blue ray disc player
