Is skydiving safe?

Answer

Sky diving is a risky venture but if you are trained, have good equipment and jump in approved areas, it is less risky than one might guess. About 35 people are killed every year skydiving. That is about half as many as are killed by lightning. Like anything that requires near perfection each and every time, careful preparation is important in reducing the risk.

  • Could be.

  • I've never been hurt while watching.

Skydiving is very safe is it's on a day with good conditions. My brothers have done it twice but it's not only fun it's safe. Every skydiver has a main parachute and a reserved one just in case the first one doesn't open. There is like a 1 out of a million that you will die during skydiving.
