It depends a little on your definition. Concentrated Sulfuric Acid can be produced up to 98% or 98.3% pure H2SO4.

So, while H2SO4 would be considered a compound, it is never pure, and is always found in a mixture.

Most Sulfuric Acid used in the lab is a much more dilute mixture of Sulfuric Acid and Water.

Fuming Sulfuric Acid is a mixture between Sulfuric Acid, H2SO4 and sulfur trioxide SO3.
