Is syinthetic opiates made the same way as opiates?

All opiates come from the poppy which contains morphine and codiene. Depending on which opiate you are talking about they are all different.

Theres: Raw opium which you can extract morphine and/or codiene from.

Oxycodone (oxygenated codeine 8X stronger than codeine

Hydromorphone (hydrogenated morphine 4X stronger than morphine)

Oxymorphone (oxygenated morphine 8X stronger than morphine)

Diacetylmorphine (Acetylated morphine aka heroin)

There are several other drugs made in labs that are derived from the poppy. Each one goes through different chemical processes to create specific results. Such as Fentanyl, Subutex, Methadone etc. But any real opiate comes from the same source. Our government has tons of poppy fields for this purpose.
