Personally, I am actually prescribed to take Adderall 30mg XR twice a day (60mg XR a day total), so yes you can take 2 Adderall 30mg XR a day, but should you?

There is a hefty amount of side-effects that come with taking this dose daily, such as: muscle tension, muscle pain, depression, anxiety, and high blood-pressure. I also weigh 220lbs, so the way that this dose effects me could be very different for you - everybody's body reacts differently. Some individuals may find 20mg XR a day to be excruciatingly uncomfortable, while others may find 60mg XR a day to not do anything at all.

It is also very important that on a dose this high you should make sure to get a full-amount of sleep each night, as well as maintaining adequate nutrition. Doses in this range are known to cause stimulant-psychosis (a very distressing symptom that resembles schizophrenia and can last for a few days, even after quitting the use of adderall) - this is also a dose-range that is capable of causing psychological addiction.

Discuss the possible benefits/consequences with your doctor, and also be sure to have regular check-ups with your doctor to insure that Adderall is not causing any dangerous side effects.

Note: If you are using this dose recreationally and not medicinally, I should atleast warn you that tolerance to amphetamine (adderall) will increase at very fast rate if it is taken daily. Also, it has been observed that if adderall is not taken on a daily basis and is instead taken at random intervals (with a minimum of 2-3+ days in between doses), tolerance will in some cases reverse causing the effects of Adderall to be stronger.

I would highly advise against the recreational use of Adderall, especially at a dose this high. Be safe.

The XR means extended release. Which means the 30mg of medication is being released slowly. Taking the 30mg twice a day is really double dosing yourself. You potentially could have lots of side effects. Bad idea.

Yes. I, as an adult, take thirty mgs a day for ADD. It helps with the ADD symptoms. Not as much as Ritalin did but without the severe rebound effects. I do experience minor rebound effects for which I usually grab a coffee for in the afternoon. I also tried Concerta but again the rebound was more severe than with Adderall. Good luck.

I take 30mg of regular adderall three times a day and I am 32 weeks pregnant & this was cleared with my ob/gyn due to the pregnancy categoy being "C". This is my first time on this med. I have been on it for 8 weeks or so. It really helps. My only concern is what times to take each dose so he third is worn off in time to get a good night's sleep. Answer Do not take adderall if you are pregnant. The medication is going right to your baby. Your doctor is wrong. You shouldn't take any medication while you are pregnant unless you will die without it or you absolutely need to take it. It is only 9 months out of your life. Yes, 30 mg. per day is a moderate dose for an adult with ADD. Don't be surprised when you have to increase that dose due to a tolerance you will develop to this medication. The Physician's Desk Reference places the maximum dose at 60 mg. per day but doctors and psychiatrists who frequently prescribe this medication know that people will develop a tolerance even to 60 mg. per day and, therefore, have prescribed over 100 mg. per day to some people. My own subjective personal opinion is that I would not go over 60 mg. per day.

I am guessing your question should say you take 1/2, not 12, of a 30mg adderall tablet twice a day. SO basically you are taking 15mg twice daily and you would like to know if you can double the dose and take a full 30mg tab twice daily. I think the best, and safest, answer is NO! Prescription medications, with the exception of very few, should only be changed upon the physicians orders. Specifically regarding potential drugs of abuse, such as adderall, a person should never increase the dosage or frequency without first speaking with his/her physician. This can be the first sign of addiction and subsequent abuse. This medicine has side effects that have the potential to be very dangerous and unhealthy, certain things that are taken into account by the physician when considering dose changes. There are many more reasons to not alter your adderall dose without physician supervision that I will not get into here. But I will leave you with one more reason, a practical one. If you do increase your dosage, you will finish your prescription early and your doctor will find out anyway.

I mean yeah you can physically pop 2 at once but keep in mind 30 mg of adderal is a lot and adding 10 more to that would probably be a little risky. But idk it depends on how much you weigh.. I take a 70mg lisdexamfetamine-dimesylate capsule every day and that stuff is a lot stronger than any adderal ive ever taken. and i only way 155 pounds so yeah i guess it depends on a lot of things.

Vyvanse is not even close to being as strong as adderall.. that's the whole reason it was created, to have a far less chance of dependency
