yes but its not very common these days.
People used them more in the 19th century but they were popular at racetracks and in brothels, so the majority of the public eventually came to associate the bills with crime - i.e. if you were seen spending one, you "obviously" got it from one of those places.
Even today some people believe the bills have "bad luck" in them, and won't use them. In reality they're just perfectly ordinary bills like everything else and can be spent like any other bill. They're slowly becoming more popular in some parts of the country due to the effects of inflation.
