  • Yes. It is regular merchandise, overpriced, and you have to make a huge down payment to complete the order. Worse yet, they sneak in a membership to ID Watchdog at $19.95 mo and Vcom at $12.95 mo. First National Gold's membership is $39.95....Your total charges, even if you don't use the service or know that you have it is $72.85 per month.
  • Global Golda aka First National Gold aka First Plus Platinum aka First Universal Platinum is a total scam. This is the reason the company goes by so many different names. If you look, they all have the awarecart.com in their online address. While they make you believe you are paying $2.78 for a credit account, they add a bunch of hidden charges at the bottom of the page, most of the time with a size 6 or 8 font. There is not even a check box that you have seen the other add on offers. They will automatically charge you for VComm voicemail service and ID Watchdog. So check your accounts, because most likely there are charges there. These products are not even in the Terms and Conditions but hidden at the bottom of the screen, way below the submit button. It is possible that all 3 of these things are actually the same company hiding behind other names.

Is First National Gold a credit card?

First National Gold's offer of guaranteed $7500 credit line is TOTALLY misleading in that it is NOT a credit card. You MUST buy ONLY from their website and you MUST PAY $40 a month JUST FOR THE PRIVILEDGE of buying from them at their INFLATED prices and then you MUST pay 10% a month so if your balance is $5000 then you pay $500 PLUS $40 PLUS 7 percent. NO its not a credit card but it IS a CREDIT TRAP for those who are not credit worthy.Deepak AgarwalCEO and PresidentContactCenter.Comrick Crosby- rca credit scam -this is the guy behind the fake credit scammark bullock, dan Sullivan, axisplatinum llc.First National Gold's offer of guaranteed $7500 credit line is NOT a credit card. You MUST buy ONLY from their website.First National Gold offers a $7500 Line Of Credit to be used on their shopping site, much like a sears card, etc. When you sign up you pay a $2.78 processing fee for a trial membership and can then immediatly begin using your Line of Credit to make purchases. If you do not wish to continue with the service after your trial membership you can just call or email customer service to cancel. If you are happy with the service, and choose to continue you will be billed a monthly membership fee. The great thing is that your entire monthly membership fee is actually credited towards your Line of Credit on any purchases you make. So as long as you use your Line of Credit, your monthly membership fee is free.In addition, when you sign up for First National Gold you also get free trials with both Vcomm, and ID Watchdog. Vcomm offers discount long distance as well as voicemail and fax delivered right to your email! And ID Watchdog is a company that protects you against Identity theft, and Monitors your credit reports for you. Both of these offers are free trials, and there is no obligation and you can cancel at any time. While First National Gold may not be for everyone, it is definitely worth checking into. I have been very happy with the service so far. My orders are processed and shipped quickly, and the prices are good. They seem to be adding new products all the time, and when I could not find an item I wanted, I emailed them to request the item be added to the store and I received a prompt reply and within days my item appeared on the site, and I even received an email from them letting me know. In addition, I recently was notified that they are extending new benefits to members at no additional cost. They will include free roadside assistance, and prescription drug discounts. I did not decide to keep the Vcomm membership as I already had a service that was similar, but I loved the ID Watchdog offer and have decided to keep it. A close relative just went through a huge ordeal after having their personal info stolen, and I do not want that to happen to me

First national gold a scam?

Apparently they are offering people a $15,000 credit card and all they want is for you to send them $30 to $40 in a "processing fee". Then afterwards, you don't always hear from them. Here's the scoop - You are not going to have a stranger offer you a $15,000 credit limit legitimately. Such credit must be earned. Don't sign up for any credit card that you did not specifically request yourself. And if they require an "activation fee", pass on it.

What are opinions on ID Watchdog?

I do not know if ID Watchdog is a scam or not, however as long as they continue their affiliation with the Vegas outfit First National Gold and all the marketing related to the online $7500 credit offers, I would strongly suggest staying away from this company. Many consumers are reporting signing up with First National Gold thinking they are being offered a regular credit card, to find out that they are actually being offered a shopping card with very limited capabilities. This credit offer is also automatically loaded with other costly services, one of which includes ID Watchdog. These offers seldom provide any value to the consumer and are quite typically frowned upon by a number of consumer advocate sites. So, I would avoid ID Watchdog and I would most strongly recommend staying away from all offers resembling the First National Gold tactics. ***IF YOU FIND YOURSELF HAVING BEEN TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BY THE FIRST NATIONAL GOLD | GLOBAL GOLD | FIRST PLATINUM | ID WATCHDOG | VCOMM | $7500 CREDIT OFFER PLOY, I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST CONTACTING YOUR STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE OR www.ripoffreport.com and POST A COMPLAINT. from another contributor: : I received two packages in the mail from two separate companies on the same day. I did not order either of these two products. On the same exact day I receive a confirmation letter of signing up for the ID Watchdog services, yet another service I did not sign up for. I called the two companies the products arrived from and the orders had been made from a previously closed credit card in my name. I called ID watchdog to also cancel the fraudulent order and they then proceeded to tell me the thief had opened a credit line with my info. and my ssn # with First Platinum for $7500 in credit and with an option of $1500 of a cash advance. They gave me the number of the First Platinum Credit Company which is supposedly a online credit order catalog company. I called them and they closed my account that I never opened and promised to have someone from their "fraud" department call me in 2 days. No one ever called. 4 day later I receive yet another ID Watchdog letter thanking me for signing up for the credit scam. These two companies are working together. And, if they also conveniently had false products sent to my address with a previously closed credit card I'll never know. Either way too many things do not add up. Please stay far away from this company and if you have had to deal with them be very aware and protect yourself. Look up your credit report. Put yourself on the credit fraud list. : You have the right to ask that nationwide consumer credit reporting companies place "fraud alerts" in your file to let potential creditors and others know that you may be a victim of identity theft. A fraud alert can make it more difficult for someone to get credit in your name because it tells creditors to follow certain procedures to protect you. It also may delay your ability to obtain credit. You may place a fraud alert in your file by calling just one of the three nationwide consumer credit reporting companies. As soon as that agency processes your fraud alert, it will notify the other two, which then also must place fraud alerts in your file. : * Equifax: 1-877-576-5734; www.equifax.com : * Experian: 1-888-397-3742; www.experian.com/fraud : * TransUnion: 1-800-680-7289; www.transunion.com
