Depends on the model, all Pentium 4's running on Northwood are 32 bit, however some of the higher end Prescott and newer chips are 64 bit (Pentium 4 5xx and 6xx series). To find out if your pentium 4 is 64bit search for CPUz on Google and that will tell you everything you need to know about your CPU
All Pentium 4s up to and including the Prescott core are 32-bit only. The Cedar Mill core is 64-bit capable, but it is used mainly in lower-end systems with 32-bit operating systems.
The Pentium D supports both 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems and programs.
Yes.
32bit
No. The Pentium M is an older, 32-bit only processor. The Pentium Dual-Core is faster and supports 64-bit operation.
Itanium
The Intel Pentium III was a line of 32-bit processors first released by Intel in 1999. They introduced the SSE instruction set for better multimedia performance, and the controversial unique processor serial number (which was removed in the last revision).
32bit
Both. The Intel Core Duo was a 32-bit dual-core processor. The Intel Core 2 Duo is a 64-bit processor.
Intel 386 processor, released in October 1985
Comparison between micro processor Intel and Motorola
The Intel 80386 is a 32-bit processor.
32 bit is the default.
64 GB when using PAE mode; 4 GB in pure 32-bit mode.
Intel has released processor with a variety of bus / memory widths. The 386SX had a 16-bit data width, the 386DX and 486 had a 32-bit bus width, and the Pentium had a 64-bit data bus.
Windows 7 32-bit is the highest version compatible with the Pentium III processor. : the official requirement about processor is "a x86 CPU clocked at 1 Ghz or above" and some models of Pentium III meet that technical specification. Please note that only the 32-bit version of Windows 7 can run on Pentium III. Moreover, it is recommended to have at least 1 GB of RAM for Windows 7 32-bit, which is a huge amount for a computer of this era.
