Yes, unless you are refering to other constitutions, for example back in the 1700's the states created there own constitutions. Fun fact is that the draft for the US Constitution was basically the New York Constitution written by John Jay.

Other countries also have constitutions; so if you only say, "the Constitution," someone from India might think that you are talking about the Constitution of India. By saying the US Constitution, it is more definite which constitution you mean. However, if you say, "the Constitution", while you are in the US, most people would assume that you are talking about the US Constitution.

No. The Articles of Confederation was the first base of the federal government. After Shays's Rebellion, though, Congress and the state legislatures realized that the Articles were not strong enough, so they decided to fix them. When they realized the Articles couldn't be fixed, each state sent a delegate to the Constitutional Convention, and wrote what is now our U.S. Constitution.

Note: I completely rewrote the previous answer because the Articles were NOT a constitution. The Articles were a base for the government, as is the Constitution. Also, the grammar in the previous answer sucked, and I'm a grammar Nazi.

The Constitution is the "Supreme Law of the Land", meaning it supercedes all other laws. There is a US Codex, though, containing all other Federal Laws not included in the Constitution itself.

Added: The Constitution is the BASIS upon which all laws are based and against which they are measured. However, the Consititution is only one document, while the US Codes (where federal laws are set forth) run to MANY-MANY volumes.

Answer 2:

No, the Constitution is not the same as federal law. The Constitution is included in the definition of Federal Law but by far the most Federal Laws are passed by Congress. Laws passed by Congress can be removed by Congress and if challenged as the Supreme Court must decide if they are consistent with the rules/laws in the Constitution. Congress cannot change the Laws in the Constitution. It can only be changed by the agreement of two thirds of each house of Congress first and then agreed to by three fourth of the State legislatures. This agreement by the States is called Ratification.
