Reports of sightings of the Dullahan are still reported in Ireland during times of festivities after sunset. A Dullahan is a headless horseman and it is thought that stories of the dullahan(s) inspired the The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow. They are usually reported being seen riding through fields in the countryside, then suddenly disappear. My friend and his brother said that they went to top of hart hill in gildersome and were shouting and then he rode towards them and they ran away also his other brother and dad said they were climbing a tree on hart hill and he rode through the field next to them.
There are no confirmed, documented sightings of the ghost of the headless horseman in modern times. The legend of the headless horseman is primarily associated with Washington Irving's story "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow."
