I've experienced this problem with both my nose piercing and recent cartilage piercing. This is most likely a minor infection that can be cleared up easily or improved within hours with something like hydrogen peroxide which inhibits bacteria from multiplying. redness, soreness and swelling decrease also. A lot of people automatically assume that these small bumps seen around the piercing site are KELOIDS, but most are bubble-like infection bumps. So hydrogen peroxide will fix this up quick for you.
Answer:
Well actually it's called a Hypertrophic reaction, this is a reaction to an irritant, generally from the cleanser you are using on your piercing. Simply cease cleaning the piercing with any cleansers or sprays, irrigate the piercing daily in the shower while moving the jewellery to flush the piercing out. Don't use anything on the piercing other than water. Within a few days the piercing will start to settle down and the bump will go away. It's not an infection. If its an old piercing its most likely scar tissue, if its a new piercing its most likely getting infected and there is pus in the bump.
Mine didn't. But I've seen others have a bump on their nose from the piercing. But of course I always do my own piercings.
try to put tee tree oil on it
Salt water and do not touch it. Try bio oil for the scar.
Go and see your piercer to have them help you figure out what it is and how to treat it.
See your piercer, who can help you out.
If it is a bump on your nose piercing that isn't filled with puss but keeps growing it is most likely a keloid. The best thing to use is TEA TREE OIL. It comes in a little bottle and you can find it at a Walmart where all the medicines are. Dip a q-tip in the bottle and apply a little of the oil to the bump. DO NOT TOUCH THE BUMP OR MESS WITH IT as that's what makes it bigger. It should clear up in a few days depending on how big the bump is and how much you mess with it.
It is called a nose piercing.
That is a hypertrophic reaction. This is a reaction to an irritant, generally the over use of cleaning products and failure to rinse the piercing out correctly after cleaning. Irrigate the piercing under running water and stop using whatever you are using for cleaning the piecing , the bump will go away over the next 5 days.
Maybe a small cyst? Doctor time.
I have both, and defin0ately the nose hurts more. I would say the navel piercing hurts around 1/10 compaired to the nose =] hope this helps XX
