An equator is a circle dividing a sphere into two equal parts. Earth's equator is animaginary line around the planet that is equidistant from the north and south poles.
Technically there is no country in the middle of the world. The Earth is a sphere so there would be no "middle" unless you meant the Earth's core.
The Prime Meridian and the Equator cross at sea. Nothing there but ocean.
