No, each branch at this current time (30 Apr 2010) is somewhat over strength, meaning that because of the economy or what ever the reason we the military have seen a significant increase in people looking at enlistment. What that means is that each branch has a preset number (mission/goal) of new soldiers for a set job to be enlisted that year, that number is determined by the expected total of soldiers due to separate from service that year leaving openings in the military in that job there for creating a job vacancy. Now at this current time each branch is still enlisting but due to job availability being limited if you want a specific job you will have to wait until the new fiscal year starting Nov 2010 or just choose something different. Word to the wise check with the other branches and see if they have the job you want, as long as you qualify they will do what they can to get it for you.
