יְהֹוָהThese four letters that you see above is known as the Tetragrammaton, The Four Letters, YHVH or YHWH.

The Sacred Name Movement's objective is to discover the correct pronunciation of this image of Four Letters also called Tetragrammaton and the Great Name by Kabbalist and Jewish Mystics.

These four letters is where Christians get the GUESS names for God of Yahweh and Jehovah.

Today we can not know what the original vowels were.

Yahweh was actually twisted from the Aramaic (Babylonian Siriac alphabet) HAWA which is Aramaic for TO BE inserted under I Am That I Am from Exodus 3:14 and I AM definition from Strong's Concordance and Hebrew dictionary.

Finding that Yahweh is formed from the Aramaic HAWA TO BE.

Thus Yahweh is NOT FROM HEBREW but Aramaic, deemed to have been inserted by Babylonian Jewish scribes during their captivity adopting the Babylonian alphabet and language.

No, the name Jehova isn't a fabrication. If you're able to do that, just visit some of the old churches or cathedrals in Europe... some of them show passages calling God by his name Jehovah. One of those passages lasts from - if I'm not wrong - 1191, (which is actually more than one thousand years AFTER the Hebrew bible was written, so it doesn't count as proof of anything)

it actually is a fabrication, resulting from the first Christians learning Hebrew in the 12th Century, and misunderstanding a Jewish way of writing the vowels of the tetragrammaton in order to remind the reader to say the word for "lord" in place of the name.

Yahweh

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaBecause the name was no longer pronounced and its own vowels were not written, its own pronunciation was forgotten. When Christians, unaware of the Jewish tradition, started to read the Hebrew Bible, they read יְהֹוָה as written with YHWH's consonants with Adonai's vowels, and thus said or transcribed Iehovah. Today this transcription is generally recognized as mistaken, however many religious groups continue to use the form Jehovah, because it is familiar and because the correct pronunciation of יהוה is unknown.

YHVH is more than a name. It represents the totality of creation. The thorn of the Yod is Keter(will) which trandscends the creation. The letter yod itself is hokmah, which is gods wisdom, which in man is the seminal point of the intellect. The Heh is the container of the seminal point. Its the understanding that expands upon the seminal point of hokmah. Vav is the neck, it represents a contraction from intellect to emotion. This is shown by its shape, a line that descends. In the microcosm(man), the thinning of the neck signifies this contraction. And lastly the final heh is the level of action (עשיה - asiyah).

Why is Madonna a kabbalah?

Madonna is not a kabbalah. Madonna has studied Kabbalah, but to study a thing does not make you one. Kabbalah is a stream of Jewish mysticism that took the European Jewish community by storm in the 16th century. Some christians noticed then, and some continue to notice now. Madonna, raised as a Catholic, is by no means alone in being fascinated by this mystical tradition.

Is the Kabbalah black magic?

Kabbalah is a stream of mystical thought. Mysticism as such is not magic. However, one stream of Kabbalism led to the development of what came to be known as "practical Kabbalah." That is, mystical practices intended to achieve practical effects in this world. Practical Kabbalah is, for all practical purposes, indistinguishable from magic. Is it black magic? Black magic is generally defined as magic that uses the forces of evil to accomplish its goals. Kabbalah is all about God.Some streams of Kabbalah, however, went in very strange directions. Shabbatai Tzvi and his followers, a group strongly influenced by Kabbalah, believe that the way to redemption led through sin, and that, to bring about the redemption of the world, they had to break all of the commandments. Jacob Frank took this to an extreme. Apparently it was really fun, but I'm skeptical that he ever accomplished anything. Both Tzvi and Frank were forced to convert (to Islam in one case and to Catholicism in the other case).

What is the difference between Judaism and Kabbalah?

That's like the difference between knowledge and math. Math is one branch of study; and Kaballah is one area within Judaism. It includes mystical levels, such as deeper meanings within Torah verses, and details of God's name.

What were the five prerequisites to studying Kabbalah before the late twentieth century?

A person had to be Jewish, pious, learned in Torah, and study the Kabbalah under a teacher, not just read its texts on his own. Some also say that one has to be over 40, but other sources do not require this. The modern practice of making Jewish mystical teachings available to literally anyone, is an unfortunate, cavalier approach in which it is impossible to properly appreciate its teachings.

What are a few basic principles of Kabbalah?

Authentic Kabbalah does not deal in belief. That is how it differs from religion. Instead, Kabbalah is a method that aims to reveal the Creator to the creatures. However, if you would like a basic concept the main idea is unity. If you have ever heard of the collective soul, Kabbalah asserts that once all the pieces of the collective soul are reunited, the Creator will be revealed. Answer 2 Kabbalah isn't a belief system or a way of life. Real Kabbalah is an advanced field of study within Judaism. The focus of Kabbalah is to gain a greater understanding of the Tanach (Jewish Bible). Think of it as the astrophysics of Judaism.
