I have the iPhone 4S, and I previously had an HTC phone.
I really did not like the HTC phone, not so sure about thunderbolt in particular.
Ot takes a lot of personalizing and getting used to for it to really have a point.
The iPhone and all other apple products are just so simple to figure out, have fun with, and make functional!
I would not recommend an HTC or droid phone, but if you like things that are complicated then go for it.
My problem was that it spazzed out a lot, it was very complicated, the settup was just annoying even to just take a picture, it was sensitive but when you did something it was hard to get out of....I think you get I didn't like it.
My opinion: go for iPhone.
