Is the titanic called the unsinkable titanic?

Answer:
It was considered so. Because of the system of watertight compartments.

It was also thought to be "unsinkable" because it was such a big ship. It was the biggest ship ever (biggest and best) and noone things the biggest (and/or best) will ever fail (sink)

Today it is not know as the unsinkable Titanic and before it sank nobody said it was unsinkable. The closest anybody came to saying it was unsinkable was on a poster advertising the ship saying Titanic is as unsinkable as is reasonably possible.
