i play Trumpet and remembering the fingerings and note names is the easiest part of playing.the only tough part is strengthening your lips ,so you can play high notes.Trumpet isn't the hardest instrument in the band, but has it's tough parts.Trumpet is awesome and even if its hard at first, its worth learning.

Hope this helped =)

In my opinion its one of the easier instruments to start on for a few reasons. One is that you have a slide, so if your on the wrong note, just move it until your on the right one. Also, the Trombone is generally a larger bore instrument, which makes it easier to hit the mid-to-low range notes. The last thing is that maintenance is pretty simple too, compared to that of a trumpet. On the other hand, it can be difficult once you get to a more advanced level. It's large bore makes the really high notes tough, and most advanced trombone 1 music gets pretty high. Another thing is that once you start playing high, positions can change a bit; like a high Eb might be a little different position than a mid Eb.

As SoloTrombone said, it is certainly one of the easier instruments to start on, but more difficult as you progress. It is also difficult for other reasons, such as rhythms. All other instruments have keys which you can hit quickly to play faster rhythms. Trombones do not have the luxury of these keys, and it is therfore harder to play faster rhythms on the trombone than it would be on a trumpet, or Saxophone.

It depends on your definition of 'learn'.

If you mean to simply learn how to play the trombone at all, the answer is about six months. To gain proper tone quality and techniques, it would take about three years of daily practice, which is how long it took me - from 5th grade to 7th grade.

If you mean to play it better and better, learning it never ends. Last year I was playing sixteenth notes on occasion, and now they're casual to me. Sixteenths are a small breeze, and dynamics and articulations come naturally. However, I could still improve further and further - who knows, maybe I'll be able to play Flight of the Bumblebee six times, in succession, and without a mistake in a couple of years.

Relatively. I've been playing for 2 years and sometimes it can get hard. All you have to do is practice, make a good sound, and know your notes.

The trombone is a relatively easy instrument to learn. A much harder brass instrument to learn is the French horn.

Is the trombone a scholarship instrument?

I would not consider the regular "tenor trombone" to be a scholarship instrument. However, instruments such as the alto and bass trombone are more likely choices as "scholarship instruments.". If you play tenor now, bass wouldn't be too difficult to learn. Euphonium is an alternative that is more like a tenor trombone. Source(s) 7 years of playing tenor trombone, 2 years of doubling on Euphonium, Bass Trombone, & Tuba.

Do all tenor trombones have triggers?

No. Your basic trombone is a tenor trombone, it's what everyone just calls a trombone. However, triggers can be added to make playing fast rhythms on a trombone easier. Triggers are also used to make it possible to reach lower notes that are difficult to play on a standard tenor trombone.

Why did Gustav Holst learn trombone?

Gustav Holst was taught to play the violin and piano. But, he was a frail child.
