There are many beautiful parallels to the Christian's relationship/friendship with God that are indirectly hinted at in the "Voyage" The beautiful thing about the entire set of "Chronicles" is that Lewis is able to portray his adoration for his God without actually mentioning it. His tender love of God and God's tender love for us is borne out in so many of the stories but it is done so out of "the corner of the eye" instead of directly. In fact, it is probable that a non-Christian reading the "Chronicles" would miss the inference altogether.
