Answer

Subutex and Suboxone are medications approved for the treatment of opiate dependence. Both medicines contain the active ingredient, buprenorphine hydrochloride, which works to reduce the symptoms of opiate dependence.Only qualified doctors with the necessary DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) identification number are able to start in-office treatment and provide prescriptions for ongoing medication. This drug works for all opiate based durgs norco, vicodin, percacet OxyContin, ect. Before this drug can be admimistered to a patient the patient must be in withdral...not haveing used any opiates for a while-how long depends on which drug they use. This is because the ingrediants in Suboxone and Subutex react violently with any other opiate...much like antabuse for an alcoholic.
