There has been a big battle in the high definition media market recently, and we have a winner now. The winner is none other than the BluRay. It has gained dominance over the other HD Medias led by the HD-DVD. The dominance in the HD market has been the hot spot for some time from now. The quality of BluRay will definitely astonish you. If you are new to BluRay, you can be sure that the quality of BluRay will be much higher than what you expect it to deliver. If you have a good high definition television set, the quality of the BluRay movies will surely leave you speechless. You will surely find it hard to go back to the standard-definition media. In the introductory period, selecting a BluRay player was quite easy. Now, after the introduction of so many BluRay players into the market, making a decision is not at all easy. There are many options to consider while going to market now. There are some factors, which should be kept in mind before making a decision on purchasing a BluRay player.Resolution is the most important of these factors. You must not settle for a resolution less than 1080p, which is the benchmark resolution of BluRay players now. The Bonus View feature is necessary, if you are looking to get the total high definition viewing experience. Another feature to look out for is the network features offered by the BluRay player. New network features enable the connection to Netflix and Youtube. Most of the recent BluRay players are internet-ready devices and internal storage facility is necessary for these devices. So you must check for this option before getting your BluRay player. Most of the BluRay customers prefer their player to read HD-DVDs and to support multiple disks too. So if you are one among those, double-check the features for these. Being a little careful while shopping can provide you the best HD viewing experience. There has been a big battle in the high definition media market recently, and we have a winner now. Could be nothing more than the Bluray DVD's that you're watching aren't encoded in 5.1 surround.
No. You need a BluRay player that specifically says it can read 3-D disks
Yes, so long as they are the same type of disks, for example; bluray would work with bluray.
Yes, there are a variety problems with 4.00 firmware update. My problem is that i cant play any of my ps3 bluray disc games without it freezing after 45 min. or so. after the update my ps3 slim 320gb has not been the same. Downloaded games, music, videos, even dvds work except bluray. When i put in bluray disc game even when im not playing it my ps3 gets sluggish and the screen begins to go black . Sometimes just because the game disc is inside and im not even playing it and that stuff still happens. The second i take it out my system goes back to normal. Problems and technical difficulties varies a bit from person to person. Reason why is It sometimes installs correctly and sometimes doesnt. Certain programs responsible for playing games ,runing internet browser, and etc. are not installed properly. Having to operate certain programs without pieces of neccessary data missing can put stress on the system. This is more common with ps3 4.00 firmware. Again it doesnt install properly onto the system and can cause certain parts of your ps3 system to become corrupted and unusable. there are so many complaints with this firmware cause Sony kind of rushed this out the door.
No, it will not play Bluray discs, but it is upscaling, so you can watch your regular DVDs at HD quality.
