Is there a fox called the silver fox?

Answer:
Yes. The Tame Silver Fox is a breed of fox that descended from red foxes bred to be tame during an experiment.
Red foxes were raised on a farm to see if they could be domesticated. They divided them into two groups, one that would have as little contact with humans as possible whilst still being monitored (to keep them wild), and another group that would have as much contact with humans as possible. Not only did they find that they could be domesticated, but they found that along with domestication their coat colour, for some reason, changed. They became silver, and some even became white with silver patches. They can now be bred and owned as pets.
