Ladybugs are actually a beetle of the Coccinellidae family. There is over 5,000 species of this type of beetle known. Their colours are many and varied with gray being among them.

Although not directly related to the more commonly known and seen red lady bugs they are of the same family.

Yes!!! there are silver/grey ladybugs. One happened to land on one of the children at the child care I work at. It was awesome. None of us had ever seen a silver/grey ladybug before.

I have seen so much grey ladybugs in Brazil.

Also in Phoenix Arizona I saw one while swimming and they are VERY rare!
